The start of the walk is 50 m higher than the church (Salle de Marenne *).

Start on the left behind the sign and walk along the picnic area and the playground. Go down to the pastures between the fences, facing the quarry. Join the road. To the left. Then "T" on the left. In front of the restaurant "Les pieds dans le plat", go right. Continue straight on to the village of Verdenne *, noticing on the right a large park housing the castle (1860) and its outbuildings (private - not open to visitors). At the main crossroads continue straight ahead and pass the church. On leaving the village (Do you like local products? Stop off at the organic store at the Vert’denne farm.) Take the path on the right (at the cross) (GR 57). Small, steep-sided path bordered by hedges leading to a beautiful landscape of Famenne. After a short descent, turn left onto a wider grassy path bordered by groves on the left and crops on the right. Join the asphalt road and continue more or less straight on the main road to descend the road for a few meters and then take a dirt road on the left bordered by Scots pines and spruces. Then between the deciduous hedges, the path is bordered in the summer with orchids, primroses and anemones. Wide stony path. The path goes around the village of Champlon-Famenne. Join the asphalt road and go left. Do not follow yellow rectangle n ° 5 (walk from Marche-en-Famenne). Above the village at the height of the virgin, turn left. The road becomes a stony path and enters the woods. Wide path bordered by conifers (douglas, spruce, larch, Scots pines) on the left and deciduous trees on the right. Beautiful view towards the village of Verdenne *. The path comes out of the woods and passes in front of the facilities of the Verdenne Aeromodelling Club. In front of the commemorative monument, turn right. At the end of this path, turn right and then directly left. The promenade goes around the village of Verdenne *. Then, "T" on the right to return to Marenne * and reach the starting point.
